You can set up two different types of projects in Dashable.
- Fixed bid/Fixed time: Use this setting if your project has a set time and cost estimate associated to a particular scope you need to meet for a client, this type of project . You’ll easily be able to see how much time is being spent on each task and Dashable will alert you as you start getting close to your budget.
- Time and materials: Use this setting when working with a client and there is not a set scope or budget.
A Fixed Bid. If you choose the fixed bid option, you will be taken to a page where you can add tasks at an hourly rate WITH a set budget. This is what makes a Fixed Bid different from Times & Materials.
Times & Materials. If you choose the options for Times & Materials, you will automatically be taken to a page where you can add tasks at an hourly rate (Image below). See “What are tasks” to learn more.
